In the face of major societal challenges in public health, understanding and designing new systems allows for better diagnosis and optimized treatments. The Chem4Life club provides a multidisciplinary approach targeting (photo)bioactive molecules, from their synthesis to the study of their biological properties.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-48defac3\">\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>M\u00e9lina Meyer \u2013 PhD student CRAN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>S\u00e9bastien Lepre \u2013 PhD student L2CM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Henri-Pierre Lassalle \u2013 Supervisor CRAN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yann Bernhard \u2013 Supervisor L2CM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nadia Pellegrini Mo\u00efse \u2013 Supervisor L2CM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Join us!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From photoactive molecules to cells\u2026 through three thematic axes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Preparation of bioactive molecules and materials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Measurement of their chemical, physicochemical, and photobiological properties<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Evaluation of their biological activities on innovative cellular models<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Examples of activities you will practice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Synthesize<\/strong> and <strong>purify<\/strong> a <strong>bioactive molecule<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand how a <strong>LASER<\/strong> works<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Observe and measure the <strong>fluorescence<\/strong> of a molecule<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study a <strong>cell-molecule interaction<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure the ability of a molecule to kill <strong>cancer cells<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Observe cells with a <strong>fluorescence microscope<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In practice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The activities of the Chem4Life club will take place in-person at the L2CM and CRAN laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club will hold two meetings per month and can adapt to members\u2019 interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club will invite you to <strong>international expert seminars<\/strong> and <strong>popularized seminars<\/strong>.
