Lorraine Université d’Excellence: engineering of the 21ST century

Site Lorrain de Recherche

Lorraine Université d’Excellence is an initiative of the Lorrain Research Site which subscribes to the dynamics of knowledge creation, the transfer of knowledge and innovation, and active participation in the economic development of the area. This initiative seeks to respond to the major points of transition in our world: materials, energy, ecological transitions, digital and health and humanity’s place in this constantly-changing society.

Across various scientific subjects, the Lorrain Research Site works within the best universities across the world and has developed a recognized expertise regarding relevant technologies. Its objective: to share its expertise across the region, to make itself known within its French, European and International ecosystem, to enlighten others regarding complex issues, various sciences and technologies and to respond to the societal obstacles of the day.

New projects, new solutions…all of these advances are the results of the global, interdisciplinary work of the entire academic and scientific community which makes up the Lorrain Research Site. This includes: Université de Lorraine, CNRS, INRAe, Inria, INSERM, the CHRU de Nancy, AgroParisTech Nancy, and Georgia Tech-Europe. These advances are also the results of partnerships with different players in the socio-economic space, various companies and other large groups at the local, national and international levels.
