This procedure in the context of a european mobility program – also called “Notification of the mobility in France of a foreign student authorized to stay in another EU Member State” – must absolutely be carried out before your arrival in France.
- You have been admitted for residence in another EU Member State
- and you are enrolled in a mobility program (Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus for example)

You can stay in France:
- after notification of your mobility project in France to the Minister responsible for immigration, by email to pointdecontact-sejour-dgef@interieur.gouv.fr
- for a maximum duration of 12 months
- to carry out part of your study program at the Université de Lorraine
While you have a “student – mobility program” residence permit delivered by another EU Member State, the procedure for notifying your mobility project as a foreign student in France must be carried out:
- either when you submit your request for a “student – mobility program” residence permit in the first EU Member State if your mobility has already been planned at this stage
- or after you have obtained your “student – mobility program” residence permit in the first EU Member State as soon as your mobility project in France is known
- by your initial educational institution
- or by the Université de Lorraine

- Copy of your valid passport OR travel document
- Copy of your residence permit delivered by the first EU Member State
- Proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of the planned mobility in France
- Proof of health insurance valid in France
- Proof that you are studying under a EU program OR a multilateral program which includs mobilities in EU OR an agreement between 2 or more higher education institutions
- Proof of admission to the Université de Lorraine
