Opening a bank account for researchers

To open a bank account, you can contact the bank of your choice.

Opening a bank account is essential if you’re on a long stay in France. It enables you to receive your salary, reimbursements for healthcare expenses from the French Health Insurance (CPAM), housing assistance payments (APL) from the CAF (Family Allowances Fund), as well as facilitating the payment of taxes when required.
