Joining the Buddy System

A “buddy” is a tandem made up of a local student and an international student on an exchange program or free mover.
Thanks to the Buddy System, you can meet a local student who will guide you throughout your stay in France.

Grants

Grants are on offer to international students from public institutions, companies and foundations, and the Erasmus+ program.

Planning and managing your budget

Dessein d'un Cochon tirelire

For a successful study stay, make sure your financial resources are in relation to the cost of living in Lorraine, i.e. sufficient to finance the entire duration of your stay in France.

Preparing your budget must therefore be the first step before you decide to study in France!

Opening a bank account

To open a bank account in France, you can contact the bank of your choice. Student associations (e.g. BDE) have agreements with local banks and can help you open an account.

Students with disabilities

Going to university is a major step for any student. All the more so if you have special needs connected with a disability.

Tuition fees

In France, the registration fee rate for international students from countries oustide the European Union or outside the European Economic Area is set at national level for all universities. But each university may define its own policy on exemption from such tuition fees.

Choosing your course
