Internships, employment, career development

Mindful of our responsibility towards students, at Université de Lorraine we are actively committed to supporting you in your future career choices.

We have a team of 30 or so dedicated staff working at the SOIP (Careers Service). Based on three campuses, its offices are open to everyone, whether for one-to-one careers advice appointments or to look through our specialised resources. The SOIP also organises group workshops on strategies and techniques for looking for internships and work, as well as careers fairs where you can meet employers. With a view to receiving or posting internship, job or cooperative education opportunities, it provides students and recruiters with its free service, Career Center Job Teaser.

Careers Service (SOIP)

Study project (course choice, reorientation), professional project, search for an internship or a job: the Careers Service (SOIP) advises and accompanies you throughout your career!

A SERVICE FOR PHD STUDENTS

To support the career development of our PhD students, some of the advice you can find through the “service for PhD students” is geared towards helping you promote your research work once you have completed your thesis.

entrepreneurSHIP, A SPRINGBOARD TO THE WORKPLACE

As a springboard to the workplace, entrepreneurship is actively encouraged at Université de Lorraine, which founded the Lorraine Student Entrepreneurship Centre (PeeL) back in 2011. Crucial to its purpose is the development of an entrepreneurial mindset and, with that in mind, the PeeL educates, trains and supports any students keen to start up a new business.

OUR GRADUATES’ FUTURE CAREER PATHs: A CONSTANT PRIORITY

Université de Lorraine cares about what our graduates go on to do next, and conducts annual surveys about your future career paths.

ENGAGING WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS

Last but not least, the University conducts an active partnership strategy (APEC, MEDEF, CCI, Pôle Emploi, etc.) and strengthens ties with the local community, economy and employers.
