International studies

Located at the heartlands of a cross-border region, Université de Lorraine has over 500 international partnerships and nearly 10,000 international students. There is an extensive choice of international courses available, in a variety of subject areas.

The syllabuses are developed in liaison with universities from around the world and benefit from the complementary expertise and excellence of each of the partners. These courses give students an opportunity to spend part of their time studying in one or more partner universities, and to earn a binational, trinational or even multinational degree.

Erasmus Mundus

The Erasmus Mundus programme aims at enhancing the appeal of European higher education and students’ employability by supporting outstanding Master’s level courses and awarding scholarships to the world’s best students.

Mobility consortia, comprising at least 3 institutions from 3 European countries, are chosen by the EU based on the excellence of the teaching and the degree of integration of the universities’ different courses. The course must involve study in at least 2 programme countries, with a mobility opportunity in a partner country depending on the consortium members. Students who successfully complete an Erasmus Mundus joint master will be awarded a double, multiple or joint degree.

Université de Lorraine’s international policy has been actively involved in this scheme for several years, raising the profile of some of its international courses.
