ASUL and the Ligue Grand-Est du sport universitaire

The university championships

By joining the Université de Lorraine Sports Association (ASUL) through your Sports Union (BDS), you can train for and take part in university competitions within the local education authority (LEA) and between LEAs, at national and international levels, organised by the Ligue Grand Est du Sport Universitaire (LGESU) and Fédération Française du Sport Universitaire.

Sports Unions

The Sports Union (BDS) is an association bringing together a certain number of students from the same school and/or faculty to manage sport within their establishment. To obtain a sports licence, you need to complete a few formalities (Information form and medical certificate from your doctor stating that there are no contraindications to the practice of competitive sport). You do not need to be an athlete to join the BDS (…). A “manager’s licence” will be required, however (complete the same licence form as student “athletes” and check the box “manager”)

Publication of the list of teams/individuals qualified for the french championships

The Ligue Grand Est du Sport Universitaire (LGESU) sends the list of qualified teams/individuals to the President and Treasurer of the ASUL as well as Delphine Lessinger, who is in charge of organising all the travel logistics once approved.

Engagement and organisation of the trip

The ASUL management team first has to confirm the number of qualified individuals who will be covered by ASUL according to the terms approved by the ASUL bodies.

Once your qualification has been announced, make sure you get promptly in touch with Delphine Lessinger, who is in charge of organising the travel logistics, and will be able to tell you if your trip can be covered and the agreed organisational arrangements.
